Citric acid dissolving issue was created by Matsuda
Hiya, do you guys have had issue with dissolving citric acid in water? Mine got crystalised inside the jar at the bottom and looks really hard to mix. Should I put it in a sauce pan with warm water and try to dissolve it or should I start it again with new citric acid? I used distilled water but may have done it wrong by adding water into citric acid. I didn't think it would be this hard to mix them. Any advise please?

You could try your idea of heating up the glass container in a pan filled with hot water. If you don't have a stirring rod, put a lid on the jar and shake it until the CA crystals are fully dissolved into the water.

When dissolving citric acid into water, you need to stir it in until completely dissolved. I use a glass stirring rod to do that when I make 3 hour Quick CDS when using the "Dry" method.Hiya, do you guys have had issue with dissolving citric acid in water? Thank you - I was concerned that putting the jar in warm water might make the water to evaporate and the 50% ratio is no longer. I have a lid yes, so this may be ok. Just need to be careful as the lid has a silicon part. Having said that it has been nearly 20 hours since the initial mix, and the crystalised block has reduced in size greatly and it looks like it is dissolving naturally. I gave a good shake this morning and will see if it dissolves completely. If not then will put it in warm water as you think it's ok to do.
