HCL Test Strips was created by dragon88
I made a 5% HCL from 37% HCL and I think I made a mistake and either put too much or not enough of HCL (got distracted!) so which test strips do you recommend to find if the HCL is at the right PH and to make sure I have around 5% hydrochloric acid?

You would need to measure exactly 100ml of the HCL using a burette, a glass tube with glass valve that is 32" tall and a stand to hold the burette. After doing that, weigh the 100ml of HCL and refer to online charts showing the concentration of HCL at different temperatures.
If I were you, I would safely discard the HCL you diluted, and start over. Much cheaper than buying lab equipment.

As far as I know, there is no simple way to measure the concentration of HCL.I made a 5% HCL from 37% HCL and I think I made a mistake and either put too much or not enough of HCL (got distracted!) so which test strips do you recommend to find if the HCL is at the right PH and to make sure I have around 5% hydrochloric acid?
